Welcome to room 25, 5th grade! My name is Francisco J. Gonzalez. I have been teaching for sixteen years, fourteen of those years here at Marvin. I graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in history, and minor in education. I received my teaching credential from Cal State, Los Angeles. I strongly believe that ALL children can succeed through parent and teacher involvement. My goal for all of my students is to become critical thinkers and life-long learners through perseverance, attention to detail, accuracy, and making sense of problems. Moreover, I believe that all children are born with a unique gift and that it is our responsibility, (teacher and parent) to help them discover this gift. Through human connections and compassion along with empathy and respect, I foster a safe learning environment that promotes working independently and in groups along with student lead discussions that enables students to feel successful in all academic areas.
