Welcome to Room 10!
I am excited to start a new school year. I know it will be an exciting and interesting school year for both of us.
Goals for the year are:
1. Excellent attendance,
2. Excellent participation in class,
3. Excellent parental involvement.
Homework will be given every day and sometimes on Friday. However students are to read daily for and hour and practice timed fluency. Time your child for a minute, at least 3 times each night. To help your child, practice the multiplication tables (1 through 12) daily. Your child will also be given homework based on the skills practiced in class. Homework is a review of the lessons taught in the classroom throughout the week. If we are planning a specific project I will notify you of that ahead of time.
Some special books we may read throughout the year will be:
Charlotte's Web by E.B. White
Ramona The Pest by Beverly Cleary
Horrible Harry Take The Cake by Suzy Kline
Horrible Harry Bugs The Three Bears by Suzy Kline
Horrible Harry and the Triple Revenge by Suzy Kline
We will follow the 3 Be's school rules:
